Happy Family While co-parenting education plays a key role in helping parents understand the effect of conflict on children, the grieving process of children, and ways to increase co-parenting skills, mediation puts the education into action.

Mediation Works North provides access to a highly skilled and trained mediator specializing in divorce, custody and parenting time.

All services are provided to individuals without prejudice with respect, compassion, and professionalism.

Parents Forever Curriculum - University of Minnesota Extension Services

Parents Forever is an educational program developed by the University of Minnesota Extension, based on research about the effects of divorce on children. Mediation Works North is a provider of the Parents Forever program.

Our Parents Forever Program

We offer two alternatives for co-parenting education: (1) on-site class or (2) online class which is facilitated with a trained professional online with participants. Having alternatives that meet the needs of parents is crucial in reducing barriers to regularly offered parent education. Both alternatives provide the benefit of a trained facilitator to answer questions and introduce topics for discussion for a more personalized learning experience.

We are supported by the United Way of Northeastern Minnesota, the Iron Range Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Foundation. Through a community dispute resolution grant we are able to provide mediation services to parents without resources and where children are at risk due to parental conflict. Without the funding from these sources we would not be able to provide services at this level of expertise to our communities. We deeply appreciate their support.
